With the MQi GT Evo, NIU is introducing its new high-voltage architecture based on 72V. This not only increases performance with the same efficiency, but also focuses on driving fun. The new, fully digital cockpit can be adapted to pass on all relevant information and, thanks to the connection to the app, safety, performance and consumption are always in the driver's field of vision.
Removable batteries with NIU Energy Lithium cells
With a weight of approx. 14 kg, each of the two batteries can be conveniently taken to the home or office in just a few simple steps. Not having a charging facility in the garage or in the parking lot is no longer a reason not to buy an electric scooter. Despite the low weight, each battery in the standard range variant offers a good 1,488 Wh capacity, which, with a total capacity of 2,976 Wh, ensures a realistic range of 65-75 km. A specially developed battery management system (BMS) protects against overcharging, deep discharge, overheating and overvoltage and thus guarantees a long battery life. Operation is also possible with only one battery, with reduced performance and speed to 45km/h.
NIU V engine with energy recovery
The new NIU V motor with 72 volt technology is now used here as standard. The brushless wheel hub motor with 6.5 kW continuous power was specially designed by NIU and offers a peak power of a whopping 7.5 kW. The motor not only ensures powerful propulsion, but also supports the standard disc brakes when braking. Not only is up to 10% of the kinetic energy recovered when braking and fed into the battery, but the braking distance is also significantly reduced.
